Rev. Robert J. Green was born to the late James Green and Alice Green in Houston Texas. After graduating from high school Pastor Green received a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Theology from Houston Graduate School of Theology. He has been accepted into Doctoral program at Oblate School of Theology.

In August 23, 1986, Pastor Green married Evangelist Bridgette L. (Coby) Green his childhood sweetheart. From this union Robert II and Ciara Nicole were born.
He began his ministerial training at Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church where he served as the Youth Pastor under the leadership of Rev. Boyd until 1994. God had a specific work for him to do at Union Center A.M.E. Church. While there he served Rev. Raymond Bryant and Rev. Gwendolyn Cudjoe as Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor.

His faithfulness was rewarded in 1996 when Bishop John R. Bryant appointed him as Senior Pastor of Mt. Pilgrim A.M.E. Church in Maynard, Texas. After serving Mt. Pilgrim A.M.E. Church for six years, Bishop McKinley Young in November 2002, appointed him as Senior Pastor of Jones Chapel A.M.E. Church. Pastor Green moved Jones to its present location 115 West Rd, to a 15,500 sq ft Campus on 3.5 acres worth over 3.5 million dollars.

Pastor Green loves God and at every opportunity he will share the love of God with anyone. He lives by the Word of God, which spills over, into his ministry. Pastor Green’s motto can be found in I Corinthians 2:9 “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him”(NKJV). And Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and steams in the wasteland” (NIV).
